Western State Bank recently held a social media challenge to celebrate school spirit and a long-standing rivalry between Garden City and Dodge City High Schools.
Winners from each fan base were drawn today:
- Garden City: Alice Gurrola
- Dodge City: Mikayla Culver Davis
Garden City High School athletics also received a donation from Western State Bank for having the highest number of participants in the challenge.
About the Challenge:
The Social Media challenge gave fans a chance to win cash by posting their photos to Facebook or Instagram while at Garden City High School or Dodge City High School football games. At the end of the season, one lucky fan from Garden City and one fan from Dodge City would each win $500 cash.
Here’s how it works:

Take a selfie or group photo wearing your Buffs or Demons apparel while at any Garden City or Dodge City High School football game.

Post your photo on your own Facebook or Instagram page (public)

Tag Western State Bank (@WSBKansas) and use your local hashtag:

Make sure your post is set to “public” so we can see it
Basic Rules
✔️ Everyone in the photo must be wearing GCHS Buffaloes or DCHS Red Demons apparel.
✔️ You can enter once on Facebook and once on Instagram at every game all season long.
✔️ Each post counts as an entry!
At the end of the football season, we’ll randomly draw one $500 winner from each high school fanbase and announce it on Western State Bank’s Facebook and Instagram pages. Be sure to follow @WSBKansas for the announcement!
