On Oct. 23, several of our banking centers were contacted by individuals who reportedly received text messages claiming to be from Western State Bank. The texts referenced Zelle transactions to individuals unfamiliar to the recipients. These texts were not from Western State Bank. If you receive a text that does not match a listed phone number for Western State Bank and asks you about specific transactions, please do not engage or give out any personal information.

While Western State Bank does correspond with customer via text, we will never reach out requesting specific account information. When in doubt, please reach out to your local banking center.
