On Nov. 20 we were informed that a caller spoofed our 800 number and claimed to be a WSB employee. They attempted to verify "transactions" with one individual, and asked about payroll deductions with another. Both customers and non-customers were contacted.

Though the phone call appeared to be coming from Western State Bank's actual toll free phone number (855-275-4128), the call was not from Western State Bank. 

We will never reach out to customers to request account numbers or any other sensitive information over the phone. Please hang up and call your local banking center if ever in doubt.
