Mortgage Loan Underwriter
Western State Bank is seeking a Mortgage Loan Underwriter for our Garden City banking center.
Description:
This position requires evaluating potential loans to ensure they meet established policy guidelines, assessing risk levels, and complying with industry standards and deadlines. The Underwriter will also work closely with investors, prepare necessary disclosures, and ensure all tasks are completed in a timely manner.
Requirements:
Requirements include strong attention to detail and ability to work with complex financial documents and assess borrower creditworthiness; proficiency handling multiple time-sensitive tasks and working under pressure to meet deadlines; excellent organizational skills; strong communication and collaboration skills, and additional requirements as stated in full job description. Must also be able to pass a background check. Experience in a mortgage, financial service industry or loan processing is a plus. Proven experience as an underwriter in the mortgage or financial services industry is also a plus.
